When will I get my trees?

During digging season we are at the mercy of the weather and field conditions. We dig as soon and as efficiently as possible. Once we have orders out of the ground, sorted so that you get the best trees, and packed, and in the mail we will notify you. In spring there can be snow on the ground through March. Spring website orders can be ready for pick-up and shipping early-mid April. We will update the website to indicate when we are shipping trees and send you tracking info when we have your trees in the mail. We are a very small team doing very many things and working very hard to grow high-quality trees. Thanks for your patience, your order, and for supporting this important work!

Can I visit the farm?

We are very happy that you are excited about our work. We wish we could accommodate more visitors, alas we are almost constantly busy growing trees and conducting research. If you would like to learn more about our work, we recommend checking out the “Learn” page and checking out the work of some of our amazing peers in the field. We do also offer volunteer and work-trade for trees, and some community events. If you really, really, really would like to get involved you can always let us know you are interested.

How do I volunteer work-trade?

Depending on the season, we host volunteer and work trade. Currently (SPRING 2025) if you would like to come help us rescue baby trees from the grass, we would love to have you. Farming is often a solo-endeavor and although there are sometimes small groups to work with, work-trade and volunteer is a great fit for people who are happy to self-suffice and vibe out amongst the plants. Feel free to inquire for more details or to set up a time to come.

Do you offer discounts or special deals?

All of our trees are discounted! We have set up our nursery to offer trees at the lowest prices possible and all of our bundles are bulk-priced. We are a non-chemical, whole-sale operation and it’s a labor of love. We do offer tiered bulk discounts, which are incorporated into the website prices. If you wish to buy many hundreds of trees, please get in touch or see our bulk price sheet.

Can you help me figure out what to plant?

We can do our best to recommend trees based on your context. Each listing has growing information, including growing hardiness. To a certain extent every planting is experimental. As the steward of your land, you are the primary observer and caregiver and we believe you have the wisdom to mess around and find out!
